Approach
Whilst working within an evidence based Cognitive Behavioural framework, I integrate tools from different modalities to provide a tailored and unique approach for each client. My training included compassion focused techniques, solution focused therapy, mindfulness based cognitive therapy, psychosynthesis techniques and I’m particularly interested in the body-mind connection.
Using a combination of techniques, together we can explore your issues, uncover the roots whilst working towards your goals of growth and change.
My work as a therapist is based on the knowledge that change is possible. I am passionate about giving people a safe space where they are heard, valued and understood, and believe that we all hold the tools within us to be able to live more fulfilled, purposeful and empowered lives. We would work collaboratively to discover the solutions with the aim of you becoming your own therapist.
I also attend regular individual and group supervision, as well as take part in CPD to support my work and ensure I keep up to date with current research.

“I started seeing Laura 3 months ago when I was not feeling like myself and in a really difficult place mentally. I was in a new country with all new surroundings. She helped put things in perspective for me and with her help, I am feeling like myself again. It has been an amazing change and I am so thankful for her. She has helped me make my studying abroad experience an enjoying one.”

“Laura is a wonderful therapist who has given me real tools to self soothe and understand my emotions. I really value her ability to help me see challenges in a new light and to find a clearer path when I feel paralysed by anxious thoughts. She has a gentle way, but isn’t afraid to steer the session when need be. In my sessions with Laura I am free to express myself without judgement and I always come away from our time together feeling listened to and respected, and more empowered than I did before. ”
